SafaLife
A habit app that turns Salah, Quran, Dhikr and Charity into daily streaks and points.

The brief
SafaLife helps Muslims build daily habits around Salah, Quran, Dhikr and Charity, with streaks, points and rewards that make consistency visible. Shameer designed it and built all of it on his own: the Flutter app and the Node.js, Express and MongoDB API behind it.
One app for four daily habits, with prayer times based on where the user is and a reward loop that brings people back the next day.
What we built
Daily worship
- Salah: prayer times from the user's location, a daily prayer log and a post-prayer checklist.
- Quran: a reader by Surah and Juz that keeps reading progress.
- Dhikr: a counter with daily targets and a catalogue of adhkar.
- Charity: a giving log with goals and campaigns.
Progress and rewards
- Points for every completed habit, with a reward screen.
- A home dashboard, daily progress and a detail view for each habit.
- Streaks across days, kept in step by a nightly rollover job.
Accounts
- Email sign-up plus Google, Apple and Facebook sign-in.
- A profile with avatar upload, a notification centre and accessibility settings.
- An onboarding flow and Hijri dates.
API
- A Node.js, Express and MongoDB API with 11 route modules behind JWT authentication.
- Scheduled jobs for the daily rollover and reminder notifications.
- Prayer times and scoring calculated on the server.
The result
A complete app and API from one developer. Scoring runs on the server, so points and streaks always come from a single source of truth.
